Rustic camping

In the northernmost sector along the Velopiste Jacques-Cartier/Portneuf, seven rustic campsites are set up, accessible only by bike. By “rustic”, we mean that there is no electricity, no running water and no cellular network. A great adventure!

Each site includes:
• A 12 X12 wooden platform as a base for your tent.
• A small fireplace with grate (wood available)
• A picnic table
• A bike rack
• A water tank (The water is non-potable, but can be used for other purposes)

A garbage can, recycling bin and a dry toilet are also available nearby. Only tents are allowed. Please note that pets are forbidden.

  • Full payment upon booking

You must have your proof of payment on hand during your stay. An employee of the Vélopiste can come by at any time to check that you have paid the booking fee for your campsite. For more details, please contact the administrative office of the Vélopiste JCP. Monday to Friday at 418 337-7525.

In case of cancellation, a penalty of 50% of the amount is applicable for any cancellation made within a minimum of 7 days before the date of your stay.

For a cancellation made less than 7 days from your stay, no refund will be possible.

Moreover, no date change is possible.

  • Flashlight or headlamp with spare batteries
  • Tent
  • Sleeping bag and pillow for comfort…
  • Your food and drinking water
  • Camping dishes, pots, pans and utensils
  • Soap, dish towel and disinfectant wipes
  • Mosquito repellent and sunscreen
  • Book and pay for your campsite online
  • Print or have your photo on your phone of your proof of payment.
  • Arrival is from 4:00 p.m. The grounds must be vacated by 10:00 the next day. À
  • You must have the proof of payment on hand during your stay. An employee of the Vélopiste can come by at any time to check that you have paid your booking fee for your campsite.
  • Curfew is set at 10:00 pm.
  • Area must be restored to its original condition upon departure.
  • Leaving your equipment unattended is at your own risk.

Fires and Fireplaces

  • No campfires are allowed outside fireplace.
  • In dry weather, the fireplaces may be temporarily prohibited from use for safety reasons.
  • Wood is available. It is strictly forbidden to cut trees, shrubs or branches.
  • The fire must be extinguished before you go to sleep and before leaving the site.

Picnic Table

  • One picnic table is provided per site. It is forbidden to move it.

Camping platform

  • A wooden platform is available per site to set up a tent. No tent is to be set up outside this platform.
  • Only one tent is allowed per site.

Water

  • A reservoir of water is provided. This water is non potable.

Dry toilet

A toilet is available to every site, either for one site or shared with the site next door. It is important to keep this area clean.

Waste Management

Waste and recycling must be disposed of in the dedicated waste bin on site.
